MID-POST- "HALLOWEEN [or ORANGE]" CHALLENGE #72 & DT Favorites Winners-Ch #71

Welcome Everyone!

We are enjoying our Challenge #72 - "Halloween [or Use Lots of Orange] and visiting your blogs. We've seen some very cute entries and hoping to see even more in the next week.

Now we'd like to introduce two more new members of our Simply Create Too Design Team:

Agnieszka wants to share with you a little:
"Hello, Everyone. I'm Agnieszka and I live in Poland. I've been scrapbooking for 2 1/2 years now and I'm totally crazy about this hobby! I love to use flowers, butterflies, medias and laces. I have a weakness for purple or pink colours combo :) I also like stamps or digi images. I colour with Promarkers. Sometimes I prefer shabby chic, sometimes vintage or romantic. I'm still searching for my own style."
This is Agnieszka's very cute project for Challenge #72:

Also joining our team is Carol:
And, Carol wants to share this with you:
"Hello, My name is Carol and I live with my husband just outside Manchester in the North West of England. I am an empty nester and have 3 wonderful, grown up children who live reasonably close, so I get to see them regularly. About 15 years ago we were staying with some friends in the South of England when she showed me some cards she had made to sell for her local church, and encouraged me to have a play with some of her supplies. Soon afterwards I bought my first stamp and the rest, as they say, is history. My first love was scrapbooking and I made albums for each of my children before going on to make gift albums for friends. I still make the odd gift album but now my passion is card making. When our children had all left home, my husband kindly agreed to my taking over their playroom as my craft room. Who knew that one little stamp could grow into the mountain of supplies that I have stashed in there!!!"

Carol's created two great projects for our Halloween/Orange Challenge:

Challenge #72 - "Halloween [or Use Lots of Orange]"
Starts today, Friday 10 October
Ends at midnight [CDT US] on Thursday 23 October

Margaret is our Guest Designer for this challenge. Her blog is Cards and Cats
Margaret says: "I started scrapbooking in 2001. From there I progressed to card making so much so that scrapbooking has taken a back seat. I started making cards for Operation Write Home. One thing led to another and I found myself entering a lot of challenges (and even winning a few). I have been on several design teams over the years. I have a room dedicated to my crafting. I am retired so I spend most of my day in the craft room. I use a Silhouette Cameo on most of my projects, even the ones on which I put digis, which are most of them."

This is Margaret's beautiful Halloween tissue box cover:

Additionally, we have two more new Simply Create Too Design Team Members we'd like you to meet. Their blogs are on our right side bar--go over and take a look--they are very creative as you'll see in this and upcoming challenges! Here are a few things they'd like you to know.

"Hello, Everyone: I'm Anuja from the beautiful garden city of Bangalore in the southern part of India. My fascination with paper started with origami at the age of ten. After that I experimented with all types of crafts such as doll making, quilling, card and jewelry making, mixed media, altered art. After trying these different forms of paper crafts, my all-time favorite is still card making. A year and half ago, I started my blog to showcase my ideas as well as join various challenges in the blogging world. I'm looking forward to sharing and learning, creating with these ladies."

This is Anuja's wonderful project for this challenge:

"Hi, my name is Maarit and I'm thrilled to be a part of the Simply Create Too Design Team. Check them out, lots of talent here! I've always been crafting: First my Mama taught me knitting and sewing; from there I think I have tried everything you can think of when it comes to crafting. I had to find something new after a spine injury and came across a card making blog. It worked as a relief from pain and gave pleasure, I was hooked at once!"

This is Maarit's delightful project for our "Halloween/Orange Challenge #72:

We've given you lots of creative inspirations for this challenge. We're challenging you to get your orange/Halloween projects ready for the end of this month!

CHALLENGE #71 - MID-POST "IT'S A SPECIAL OCCASION" & DT Favorites Winners-Ch #70

Hi, Everyone visiting us in Blog Land: As usual this is our MID-post for our current challenge - "It's a Special Occasion" #71. We are looking forward to even more of your amazing entries.

And, speaking of amazing, the Simply Create Too Design Team as another new member we'd like to introduce today:

Myrna says: "Hello, everyone. My name is Myrna. I was born in Quebec, Canada, but unfortunately I only speak English. I now live in Belleville, Ontario, Canada and I retired two years ago. I started making cards in 2012 after buying a Cricut machine. All too soon, simple cutting and pasting led to stamping, die cutting, Copics, watercolouring and more. I make cards for fun - mostly for friends and family. I also volunteer to make all the cards for the Belmont Nursing Home. They have approximately 130 residents, and between Valentine's Day, Easter, Fall/Halloween, Christmas, Birthday, Thank You, blank and Sympathy cards, I am quite busy. It is my way of "Paying it Forward" for the wonderful care they provided my late mother. I currently design for one other design team, and I am a guest designer on another. In my spare time, I also love to read really trashy romance novels, watch the DIY cable shows & TV dramas, travel, photograph, and spend time with my little furkid, Fuji. He is a mixed breed, but looks like an Lhasa Apso. He is so smart, it is sometimes creepy. He has been my constant companion since my husband passed away over 15 years ago. When I am cardmaking, Fuji sleeps under my craft table." [We just have to show you his cute, cute picture]

This is Myrna's project for Challenge #71 - "It's a Special Occasion":

We're hoping we've inspired you to enter [you have until next Thursday, October 9th].

This is a very 'special occasion' to us for a couple of reasons! Let's get started. . .

We're honored to have several new Simply Create Too Design Team Members. We think you'll enjoy their creations as much as we do. We'd like to introduce two of them:
"I'm Hillary, I'm a twenty-something living in Oklahoma with my husband and our 2 rescue pups. I am a radiologic technologist by day working at a surgery center. My mother and aunt bought me my first scrapbooking supplies when I turned 14 shortly after moving to Oklahoma from Germany so I could scrap all my travel pictures. I have loved paper crafts ever since! I just got into card marking a few years ago and it has become my favorite hobby! I also enjoy bowling, video games, and target practice. This is my inspiration project for Challenge #71":

"Hi, my name is Lisa Mensing and I live Lillington, NC. I’ve been crafting for as long as I remember in some form or another. Crafting during the holidays with mom as a small child, helping my niece and nephews with school projects, to making birthday and wedding cakes, invitations, and decorations for parties. However, my love of paper crafting only came about 4 years ago. I was looking for a picture to hang in my dining room for Halloween. I couldn’t find one and that’s when I decided I would make it myself. Researching, I came across Copic makers! WOW! The wonder grew from there. Well, here I am now with a whole room dedicated to paper crafting, The Crafting Cave. I can hideaway in my cave for a whole day whenever I want, good music, candle glowing, and my mind free to wonder in any direction it wants. I serve on two other Design Teams right now and I love every minute of it. I love to have my mind challenged and think outside the box while following the rules. And I’m honored to be adding Simply Create Too, to my list of Design Teams. This is my Challenge #71 project":

Aren't these great ideas to get your creativity flowing?? Well---here's additional & inspirations from more of our Team:

Now show us your new projects for our "It's A Special Occasion" Challenge #71; and you can enter 3 times!
Psst: During the next month, we have several more new Simply Create Too Design Team members to introduce. Please come back and welcome them!
